 more homogeneity

I don't like standard bootsplash of my fedora 7, neither the splash screen or login screen. I was searching here for replacements, but I also hate having different themes for each step of boot up.
I think should be better having a single category for Splash screens, Bootsplash screens and kdm Themes, so who whould to create a theme in one of these categories should create also the others....

Well fedora don't use bootsplash, but rhgb.
If I'm not mistaken the rhgb use xorg when it run while bootsplash use framebuffer so it starts a litle quicker. I'm trying to find a way to replace it since there is noe themes for rhgb other than those comming with diferent redhat and fedora versions.

 KDE-Look Commenting

by rowancompsciguy on: Jul 6 2007

I am a huge fan of this site. I feel that this is a great think-tank for KDE and a fantastic place to get new and innovative artwork for your desktop.

With that being said, I feel that there is a major flaw with the way things work here and I have seen this opinion expressed by other developers/artists as well. Something needs to be done about the commenting functionality on this site. There are too many people that vote, both up and down, and leave no clues as to why they did so. For the benefit of the developer and the community, it is critically important to know why people are voting the way they are so that programs/artwork can be improved. Without guidance from the user community, developers are simply left in the dark.

I would propose that the developers of the KDE-Look website seriously consider making it mandatory to provide a comment if you are voting (again, good or bad) or require a user to agree with another comment that has already been posted. This will make developer's lives easier because they will know what to fix and it will make user's lives easier because they will get the product that they want. I hope that you seriously consider my proposed idea.

Please feel free to post your thoughts on this.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
