When you say 'resize' what do you mean? The KMenu button's size depends on the size of kicker panel it's locate on. If you make the panel bigger/smaller the Kmenu button will resize too. To resize the panel go to Control Center -> Desktop -> Panels. Size of the panel can be changed with a slider at the bottom.

Hi, i am a noob here on the KDE. I was always dreaming about the day when i could create an os system, and now i finally found this site, but now im stuck because i am finding it hard because i downloaded the KDE and when i opened the compressed folder it has lots of files .php files and it is like a web script? Can anyone help me or send me the KDE 3.0, and once i have the KDE software installed, do i have to run it on a UNIX/LINUX server and install it on there?
I would prefer if someone can add me on MSN so i can actually talk to someone who is experienced in this.

Thanks for your reply. Gaffy_cool@hotmail.com

 intro for newbies?

Is there a FAQ or tutorial on installing themes etc. anywhere on this site? I can't find one.

I've seen download links for source code, binaries, rpms, yum packages (the only that's actually worked for me) and several files with a .emerald extension, which seems to be a gzip file containing a theme.ini file. What do I do with any of these? KDE doesn't seem to recognize them.

May be, this site can help you for using source archives of icon sets, icewm decorations, splash screens (*.tar.gz) and theme manager files (*.kth):

Thanks ... but can anyone tell me what to do with those *.emerald files (or the theme.ini file that they contain) that are on this site? There are quite a few of them, so someone must know what to do with them. ??

Okay ... I've finally disovered that Beryl is an entirely separate project (http://www.beryl-project.org). That should help to explain the *.emerald files.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
