 SMB4K Startup

Hello,

I am running into this problem (Kubuntu Hardy Heron); I have mounted a share using SMB4K. I have checked the option "Remount recently used shares on program start". When I reboot, SMB4k is started automatically, but because my wireless LAN is not completely started yet, it gives a message that it can not mount the share. If I mount that share a few seconds later, it works because then the Wireless Lan has finished connecting. Is there a way around this?

Hello, I'm new to the forum and I would like to upload a theme for window decorations that I made. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to copyright issues, so if anyone can give me some help that would be great. What I've done is, I've taken a Windows XP Royale theme that I downloaded off of the internet and used it to make a theme for KDE. I guess that the only thing I have to worry about is that it displays a windows logo. So it this something that I shouldn't upload? If I get rid of the logo will it be okay?

 Using a theme

Hi all, new to KDE look. I just started linux a few months ago, and i decided to give KDE a try, then i found out that you could change the theme (via KDE look), I download the theme and extract it fine, but when i go to use it, it fails. Yeah, followed the HOW TO to the letter. I get this error message when i restart about not being able to parse the theme.
Big question mark. Any help would be great. This might be simple, but i cant find any answers. Be easy, Im still learning.

ksmserver & kicker are not in the 900 repos they are only in the 701 repos

terminal
sudo synaptic

look in repos edit xandros 2 standard repos change 900 to 701 on both repos
click ok close then reload
then search and install ksmserver and kicker close synaptic restart desktop and full desktop option will appear on closedown list click on full desktop pc will restart and you have full desktop
dont forget to change 701 back to 900
next time you switch on it auto comes on in standard easy mode just select full desktop as before from closedown list.
hope this helps as i have only just found this info myself but it has worked for me.

I came across a "download" that was posted on a porn site.

Is there a policy regarding this or is it acceptable.

To whom does one report it or do we just ignore it?

1. make sure you've plugged all cables ;-)
2. open konsole, type "ping www.google.com"
if there's no error and you get continous ttl reports, press "ctrl+c" (*nix ping doesn't autostop)
3.
-if ping works, it's just knetworkmanager in "offline" mode (just hover all icons in the systray, one is knetworkmanager -> set online)
if ping fails, there's a general problem with your network setup. this will require information about your system (not KDE, but linux, bsd, etc.), distribution and especially network environment
then best ask on the support page of your distributor or google (if you use WLAN, you may need "tainted" modules for your kernel - i.e. bin only 3rd party drivers or wrapper, your distributor probably has packages, but cannot ship them out of the box for legal reasons)

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
