I got sick of that "3D pr0n" on display. Adding a comment to push it out :^) Nothing else...

If you couldn't find any weirdness,
maybe we'll just have to make some!

 Suggestion...

by Doches on: Nov 3 2003

Score 50%

...To rid us of all these pointless discussion comments. You know what I mean (and you know who you are...grr). "3D pr0n?" wtf? this is "multimedia?" Anyway, here's my idea (To: Frank) - Why don't you implement the same ratings/voting system used on content (good/bad = %) on discussion comments? So people can vote on comments; not, ideally, for whether they agree or disagree (though that does make for an interestingly informal poll!) but for whether the comment has any real value.
This way, idiot comments like the "Full Moon" nonsense, along with equally pointless flames and rants, would be invisible with the "show content > %" filter.

What does this have to do with KDE? Maybe you should follow your own advice and email this to someone in charge, rather than posting your rant in the discussion forum.

I agree, this has to be stopped. This is almost as bad as that whole "Totally Hot KDE Girl" fiasco ;-)

 Two complaints

Two complaints:

The homepage characters, sky blue on grey, are difficult to read; a bit more contrast please for elderly eyes ?

On a page, like "Sound", all files have the same description "Sound Application".
Useless information in this context.
A more precise description ("Midi Player", WAV Editor", "Bagpipe Emulation" or whatever) would be more useful to know what the package is about.

and there are too much ugly wallpapers.
by i mean UGLY i mean something like this:
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=1909
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=5087

i think the webmaster should really do something (automatically delete wallpapers below 25% of "goodness"?? i don't know)

 Setting threshold

I think you can set your threshold to something higher than the default 20%. I never experimented with it, but if I assume right, it would then just show you things that got votes at a threshold you specify.

 Looking 4 Gad's site

Some time ago browsing kde-look i came accross a link to a fantastic webpage..i think that the owner called himself Gad..so i suppose it was Gad's homepage :)

Perhaps one of you knows the address of that site..it's about Gad's photography.

I'd really like to visit it again, alas Google cant take me there :)

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
