Sorry for the off-topic: who knows which are the fonts in this screenshot (taken from Spe for Max OS X).

I appreciate any answer, thanks!

It looks like the standard Mac fonts. I don't believe you can legally get them unless you own a Mac. Not sure about that last part, though.

http://www.themedepot.org/showzoomedframe.php4?id=1645

I mean the application font not the content.

Thanks

I would say Tahoma (or some other variety of Arial). It's not Arial or Verona - seems too stretched up.

 Kumula has a mascot

by KumulaTeam on: Mar 5 2005

Score 50%

...but it doesn't have a name already. As my girlfriend heard the title "Kumula" the first time, she answered "sounds like a spider". So, the Kumula mascot is a spider, doing many business tasks simultaneous. Look at the mascot here:
http://www.kumula.org/docs/index.php?title=Image:Spider.gif

But, "Kumula" is already the name of the software, and I think, the mascot should have its own name. So please post here your favorite name(s) for a busy spider - I'll make a poll for it.

Juergen

PS: The next version of Kumula is coming in a few days...

 Feature Enhancment

by DogFaceMonk on: Mar 9 2005

This comment is two part:

  1. First, would somebody be willing to do a preliminary version of a kdm theme that would go nicely with the Redmond ksplashml theme? It could not include all the features present in the newest OS from the guys at M$ (read on), but it could look somewhat similar, or not (use your artistic license). I just want it to integrate almost seamlessly with the ksplashml theme.

  2. Second, if any kde developers are reading this (or more likely, if anyone is willing to write the kdm developers) I would like to see as a feature in the next release of kdm (what?, KDE 4.0 is it?) all or most of the functionality found in M$'s Welcome Screen.

1. it is possible, but why don't you make one of your own? You just need to create two different themes that are copies of each other.

2. Read posts / do some search. You will find out that there are at least two or three loging screens that are 1:1 like M$ shit. "My Login Manager" might be one of those two...

 KDM Theme

I really would like to, if I had the time to understand how the new kdm theme engine's xml files work (HOWTO, maybe?), but I just wondered if anyone else out there in cyberspace would be interested in the same thing. (We could make it even better than M$'s!) Also, it would probably involve looking at the source code for the KSplashML Redmond Engine. Secondly, I would rather do something with the xml theming engine for kdm than use a totally different (and unsupported by the KDE team) display manager.

Yes, it looks nice. Unfortunately, there is no direct info about the licencing terms of their new theme. However, there is said that "All changes made to KDE [by Linspire] are open source and the code is made available to be put in the main tree". This could mean that the theme is GPLed or something.

I'm currently designing a web calendar and am in search of seasonal and holiday graphics/icons/emoticons.

Are there any packages out there? I've been surfing google for the past few hours and haven't come up with anything worth using.

Thanks

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
