This is FSME, the Finite State Editor.

It includes 3 packages:

FSME - a graphical FSM editor

FSMC - a template source code generator. Uses Python and Mako template engine. An example template for Qt4 code generation is included.

This release is mostly a port to Qt4. From now on, it should work on Windows, Linux and Mac flawlessly.

Fixed compile issues for Linux

 Too late ..

How I could've done with this app when I was at Uni doing computer science! However, that was 14 years ago - sigh.

This program is not intended to be only a demo. Many things can be modeled with FSM, not only parsers/regular expressions!

FSM in FSME is more UML State Diagram rather automata from Dragon Book. This means you can create Finite State Machine, which acts as object reacting some Events and producing some Actions.

For example, there are 2 FSM in FSME itself: Manipulator handler and View manager.

I've followed instructions from main web page from sf.net and tried to compile, but got this error with "std::auto_ptr" :

Please get the last snapshot from hg repository.

Or include <memory> header. Also you will need to include <stdlib.h> in syntax.cpp.

In file included from netwm.h:37:0,
from netwm.cpp:31:
netwm_def.h:284:4: error: expected ‘}’ before ‘::’ token
netwm_def.h:284:24: error: invalid use of ‘::’
netwm_def.h:285:13: error: ISO C++ forbids initialization of member ‘Toolbar’
netwm_def.h:285:13: error: making ‘Toolbar’ static
netwm_def.h:285:13: error: ISO C++ forbids in-class initialization of non-const static member ‘Toolbar’
netwm_def.h:285:13: error: invalid conversion from ‘int’ to ‘NET::WindowType’

I think that would be enough to remove netwm.cpp from ui.pro. Qt4 should handle semi-transparent app icons properly.

I have fixed that on mercurial repository.

I am a newbie to FSME and mercurial, so maybe I made something wrong. But downloading rel. 1.06 from sourceforge got me to the same error.
Getting from mercurial, I get the same compile error:
MainWindow.h:49:5: error: ‘auto_ptr’ in namespace ‘std’ does not name a type
make[1]: *** [.obj/main.o] Errore 1

I use OpenSuse 12.1 64bit
Please any advice?
Thank you

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
