Amarok 2.0 Script

Score 73%
Version Control:  Link
Downloads:  59
Submitted:  Apr 5 2010
Updated:  Apr 18 2010

Description:

This Amarok script replaces all songs in the playlist with their albums.
Duplicates are removed (So the same album should never be added twice).

I\\\'ve created this because I love to listen to full albums but many options in amarok don’t work with albums. For example the new Automated Playlist Generator. Now I can invoke APG first and then my script to get a random distribution of albums.
An other use case is when you search your collection and the result doesn’t match full albums. Then you can drag the result to your playlist and then invoke my script.

To test this, add some songs to your playlist and then invoke this script from the tools menu in amarok.

Changelog:

0.2 artists supported now too (replace playlist with all songs from the artist)
0.1 Initial version.

thx for this.. thats something i missed in amarok for a long time. a cool new feature would be a better integration so that this happens automatically after adding some songs.

keep up you work, thx again

I don't think this is possible at the moment with amarok scripting, but I would love this too, so I'll look into it.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
