Description:

Amarok Dbus Notify makes Amarok show a pop-up notification integrated with you window manager on play/pause and song change.
The pop-up disappears after a few seconds and lets you pause/stop/skip song through buttons.

Changelog:

0.3:
* Cover image support! (needs python-imaging - the script works without it but it won't show images)
* Adjustable display time
* Fixed a bug that prevented songs containing and & in the metadata to be shown (guess why... :))
0.2:
Added some logic around Amarok's screw-ups

 Nice

Hi,

I like the idea, i feel that this is much better than using any kind of plasmoid for the same thing.

However, I do have one suggestion/question: would it be possible to change notification display time, since the message pops up and disapears so quickly you usually don't get a chance to use player controls? Just a few seconds more would be great... ;)

Other than that it's a very nice desktop addition.

Why not, right now it does just the wrong thing having a fixed display time, I had already decided not to set time at all so to stick to the notification daemon default, but I think implementing a preference shouldn't be that hard.
Next version will also display covers!!

It's a nice and good script. For better handling it was intersting also can change the "Score Stars"(? - I only know the german title exact "Stückbewertung" with up to 5 stars).

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
