Depends on  KDE 3.x
Downloads:  503
Submitted:  Jan 16 2004
Updated:  Feb 12 2004

Description:

This is small utility developed in KDE which can search inside archives
such as zip, tar and tar.gz(or tgz). The main feature of Archive Search is,
it is a multithreaded application. So it won't freeze the main window. At any
time you can stop the searching or even u can skip the current searching directory.

Changelog:

The previous version of Archive Search is developed in Qt. Now i ported it to KDE. The previous verion only capable of searching inside zip archives. Now i added support for tar and tar.gz. I also planned to give support rar, arj and other archive
formats.

yes, this whould be great! Ark is nice, but it really needs hypertreading, and it looks like you are very capable of adding it...

It whould prevent alot of duplicate work...

I think he simply cmispelled "multithreading" :) (hyperthreading is an Intel technology for Pentium 4)

And what about Find integration? :)

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
