DreamStream

   1.1

Amarok Script

Score 53%
Link:  Link
Downloads:  253
Submitted:  Jun 17 2008
Updated:  Apr 19 2009

Description:

DreamStream transfers your Amarok's streams list to your Dreambox, so you can listen to your favorites web radio with the DreamNetCast plugin.

The script serves a specific need. The Dreambox digital sat receiver provides a plugin to listen radio streaming from the internet, like those at Shoutcast.com. Radio stations on the Dreambox have to be configured in an XML file on the box, with name and URL. A pain.

The idea of DreamStream is to use the radio stream list you have already in Amarok, that's easier to edit by the Amarok interface itself. So you can edit your favorite radio streaming list in Amarok and then transfer it on the Dreambox with a click.

Changelog:

1.1
* target directory on Dreambox for stations.xml in now configurable; you may need to delete you old configuration file;
*fixed a bug on exit, that caused the process to not shut down properly and to run in the background indefinitely.

1.0
* Initial release.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
 It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
 Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
 Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
 Gnome 3 default shell is much better
 I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
 None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
