Description:

This program is a software installer for debian based distributions. It works similar to the adept installer. But it has some advantages/differences:

* it uses direct apt
* you can start install and start applications
* i has an included systray icon
* it starts faster
* It can display the homepages of the applications

Given you've packaged it for Debian sid, I'm assuming it just uses apt-get on the backend for all its package management functions? If so, that's great, as it's pretty much the first GUI-based package manager that won't break Sid and/or sidux. I just have one tiny complaint: The left column (Categories) doesn't honor the color scheme's setting for "Alternate background in lists," which makes it hard to use with color schemes that use light test. Aside from that, great job. Any plans on extending it to the point of Adept Installer (i.e., so every package that has a .desktop file is listed)?

Yes, for the install and remove of packages the program uses direct the debian command apt-get.

I will try to fix this problem.

Actually it works in the same way like adept. If you want to add programs go to folder /usr/share/kappstarter.

If you think there are missing programs you can also post them here and will add them.
