Description:

KLinkStatus is mainly a link checker.

It allows you to search internal and external links throughout your web site and view them in a hierarchical format or site tree. Simply point it to a single page and choose the depth to search.

You can also check local files, or files over ftp:, sftp:, fish: or any other KIO protocols. For performance, links can be checked simultaneously.

This application is part of KDE, as a component of the KDE web development module.

Taking advantage of the powerful KDE development framework, it is currently available for Unixes (Linux, *BSD, Solaris, etc) and Windows; a Mac port is on its way.

Features:
http://linkstatus.paradigma.pt/en/about.html#features

Its a lovely app, and does good work. But, unless I can export the results it doesn't do me much good.

Thanks :) I will implement that. Do you have any idea on what the exporting should be? For example, only showing bad results or show them all, which info to show, etc...

Yes Please, I could use an export facility too! This is a great little app, It's already helped me a lot. Exporting something really straight forward, just a text file with a result per line would be brill.

Take a look at http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=85592

I attached an example XML source document and a basic XSLT stylesheet, so you can see how it will look like and even improve the stylesheet.

 Compilation error

When I try to compile (debian sid) I get the following error message: WARNING: use unsermake instead of make or use a wrapper script, e.g. makeobj!!! /home/moura/development/kde/4/kdenonbeta/unsermake/unsermake all make: /home/moura/development/kde/4/kdenonbeta/unsermake/unsermake: Kommando nicht gefunden make: *** [all] Fehler 127 What's wrong? Are the paths in the sources not set correctly?

It seems that it needs "unsermake" instead of make command.
Do you have unsermake?
You can look at http://www.kde.me.uk/index.php?page=unsermake for instructions.

 Description

This is probably one of the best applications and necessary for keeping track of and absolute migration of websites especially between different platforms.

The problem is that I did a complete reinstall of Kubuntu and didn't get my entire apps list down thus forgot the name of this application.

So, what does one intuitively search for?
site map
site tree
website sitemap
etc., etc.

Even in Adept Manager in Kubuntu the tags and description does not begin to describe it in user-friendly terms.

There would be far more downloads and acceptance of this fantastic application if there were some rewrites of the description and metadata.

I would be so very happy and honored to provide you with that service.

 Really unstable

by xandrani on: Apr 27 2011

This is a great app. However it has not had proper quality control procedures implemented during its creation.

It needs unit testing! It crashes 1 in 3 times I use it!

However it is an amazing application apart from this so congratulations to anyone who has worked on this.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
