Hallo there!

This was just a test and I think that the result is worth to publish.

The idea of thie application is very simple:

Try to provide the user a small fullscreen-interface of 6-Action buttons to start a specific task.

It is themeable, starts in a blink and uses kwin as window-manager. So if you don´t need a full DE - use kappsel.

I had such an idea too. This is nice, especially if you can configure the app to use a specific number of entries and make usage of svg icons (which would be cool because they can be scaled to any size).

On computers with a certain set of tasks you could just edit the startkde script to load kwin and this app instead of kdesktop e. g.

kappsel uses svg-icons :D
kappsel looks good at every resolution
kappsel is theme-able:

just create $KDEDIR/share/apps/kappsel/default/

task1.svg -> icon for task1
task1.sh -> start-script for task 1
theme.mp3 -> background music

when I see work like this I realize just how much open-source has done for people.

I take my hat off to you for doing something like this. Sweet. Nice looking artwork too - even if it is someone else's work that you selected.

Where are the icons from? I hope there's a big icon pack in this style, because I'm absolutely in love with it.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
 Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
 I do not like some of the changes.
 KDE is taking the wrong way.
 I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
 I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
