Description:

Based on Klikit Linux Kommand Center by sqlpython.

Removed Klikit Linux branding and added more tabs and buttons.

Better organized the KCM access and locations under the tabs.

I believe that this is a better alternative as a Kcontrol replacement layout than system-settings. Though it needs a lot more work and it should be made into a full blown stand alone program.

Right now just doing layout work to get a better idea of how to make it look better.

The interface is rather stupid so it shows access to KCMs and programs you may not have.

Like I said its a start and sqlpython did a great job in starting this project.

Beta 6 Is last of the Beta releases. Next release will be RC1. At this point I need as much feedback as I can get to improve the layout and features. Everyone who is using this please send me feedback and suggestions.

Thanks but I just did some clean up work mostly. Added a few bits and pieces. The original Klikit Kommand center can be found here:

http://www.klikit-linux.com/

The differences aren't all that much especially in the main design. So far I added a couple of tabs and gave access to more KCMs than the original. However sqlpython deserves most of the credit for this work.

It isn't about it being free. Rather, its about the freedom it brings.

I went to the website for the distro which this control panel is used and I must say, I'm still sticking with straight Debian which is why it is nice to be able to download a nice control panel and not have to install the whole distro. My thanks to all that make this possible.

Shaun and All Readers
..Thanks for the interest and promotion in the Klikit Kommand Center.
..I am for some reason unable to download you version via the link. I wonder if others have the same problem?
..You added a security Tab. Klikit already has a Security app therefore the Tab is not included in Klikit Kommander. We will be molding ours to Klikit community Feedback. Unlike other development, KDE included, ours is more closely tied to the community.
... Although additional work is appreciated and the spread of any app is a good thing I would like to see continued Klikit Credit in ABOUT Tab so users know of the origin.
Thanks sqlpython

One more comment, Shaun said,
"The interface is rather stupid so it shows access to KCMs and programs you may not have."

True the interface is Unaware of apps available on the individual system. This is in keeping with the same action as the KDE Contol Center which as example looks for Bluetooth although it is not there.

We used Kommander QT/Designer to Mock this up and get it going. This also allows easy quick mock up changes as Klikit Users feed us changes. Once we get the App to community satisfaction I will go C++ with it. This will make the app faster and it's ability to access hooks without limits. We will be able to reach into the System at system level if necessary. If you intend on following it as to speed and flexibility with upcoming releases engage a C++ programmer as it will be to your benefit.

Thanks sqlpython

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
