Because it allows you to send messages to all of your list simultaneously. Also, if you use this script for spamm purposes, it is very likely that you will get blocked from other's list, so you have something to lose if you misuse this script. Also, a "spammer" would use DCOP directly and Bash (that's what I'd do if I were a spammer).

But this script avoids the need of having to move your contacts from one group into another just to send multiple messages. There's also another way to do this: make a new conversation and add lots of people in it and then send your message, but in that way they'd know that they're getting a massive message. So this script is sometimes really convenient.

Other than irritating people on your contact list, what other purpose does this script serve?

Why don't you run it an check it out for yourself? If you don't like it then don't use it.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
