Description:

Port of the Kpar2 frontend for libpar2 on KDE4.
It depends (rather obviously) on libpar2 and sigc++ to be installed. You must install the developers packages on most distributions in order to be able to compile KPar2. They are called libpar2-dev sigc++2.0-dev and on Debian, and libpar2-devel and libsigc++2-devel on SuSe.
It's my first app...
For now, the auto extract option is not yet implemented.. for the next release I hope.

Changelog:

* version 0.4.5
Package with sub directory
Add filter to the Open Dialog
Correct icon from oxygen theme are now use
Install kpar2 icon correctly

* Version 0.4.4
Disable button during the process
Add original Author
Add icon for settings dialog

* Version 0.4.3
Correction of a last crash (during the load)

* Version 0.4.2
No more crash when you quit the application even if the process is not yet finished

* Version 0.4.1
initial version

 Thank you for porting this

 by mirzaD on: Oct 23 2009

Thank you for porting this, this is one of a kind app in KDE, and its KDE4 port has been missed.

I have been using the kde3 version for some time now.

It is so cool to see the gap between kde3 and kde4 shrink thanks to developers like you :)

 Compilation bug

 by mirzaD on: Oct 23 2009

There is however a compilation bug...

[ 85%] Building CXX object src/CMakeFiles/kpar2.dir/kpar.o

 possible fix

 by mirzaD on: Oct 23 2009

I fixed issue by adding line:
void on_repair_Button_clicked();

in kpar.h
behind line 64 and it worked.

What i don't understand why do you have two methods with such similar name in there:

void on_repair_Button_clicked();
void on_btn_repair_clicked();

and both methods are used and required in kpar.cpp ?

If the process (check or repair) is not finished when you close the application the app coucld crash.
Are you sure that the check process was terminated in your case ?

No, the process of repairing was not complete, but since there is no 'stop repair button' that crash should not happen in my opinion.

I've found the problem, I will push an other version with no crash and the possibility to stop check manually as soon as possible.

Thanks for your comment;
I'm a biginner with Qt4\KDE4 dev so my work is not yet perfect.

 Fix source tree

 by gohanz on: Oct 27 2009

Please fix the source tree. If i unpack the tarball i have directly

/cmake
/src
CmakeList.txt

and not

kpar2-version.

The last good tarball is 0.4.3.
