Description:

Picwiz is a simple picture resizing wizard that is meant to be called from a Konqueror context menu (a.k.a. service menu). It allows batch resizing of any number of files to custom and standard sizes (640x480, 800x600 ...) in three or four mouse clicks.

Changelog:

0.3.1
- Added 5 new resolutions.
- Added custom resolution option.
- Added progress bar.
- Fix bugs static screen while processing (kapp->processevents())

0.1.2
-Added 4 new resolutions
-Overwritting is now an option. Files are renamed according to their size by default.
-Added translation capabilities depending on locale (with french translation provided).

0.1.1
-Corrected last minute changed that skipped the resize process. (oops!)

 rotate

Hi,

what about rotate-functions? The cheaper one of my digicams doesn't save the orientation of the photo so that every picture is landscape... :-(

 integration

a better integration of this tool into digital camera tools could be useful. Konqueror is already bloathed and I think tools like these decrease the usability even more. Is it a kpart?

I would prefer the command line for such issues.

Actually Digikam3 has one of these as a plugin but it is currently in RC1.

I would very much like to make it a kpart with a dcop interface in the near future.

>I prefer the command line
If you like the command line be my guess. But if I tell my wife "click on open terminal here and type ..." she just "ok...nevermind"

 Great!

It saved me when I had to send a 1600x1200 photo-set to a dial-up account! Smoothly resized to 640x480!

What about the possibility to enter a personal new name for the resized pics?

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
