Description:

This application provides a gui to fan speed control.

To use this application you must have the right modules loaded.
The easiest way to get the right modules loaded is by installing lm_sensors and running sensors-detect.

Some motherboards doesn't have the ability to control the fans.

What output do you get from: ls /sys/class/hwmon/
and what motherboard do you have?

I have installed lm_sensor and run sensors-detect below is the output

Driver `it87' (should be inserted):
Detects correctly:
* ISA bus, address 0x290
Chip `ITE IT8712F Super IO Sensors' (confidence: 9)

I will now generate the commands needed to load the required modules.
Just press ENTER to continue:

But I Already installed Qtfan before. How do I proced from here>

You should not need to do anything more than that to get correct fan readings, to check if it works run "sensors" from the terminal, if you get fan speed readings and temperatures it should work in QtFan, if not post the output of
ls /sys/class/hwmon/
and
find /sys -iname 'pwm*'

Thank you,
I managed to install qtfan and it really work.
This is just for displaying right?
Can we use it to control the speed of the fan. Or is there any other project for controlling the fan speed?

 Controlling fan spee

It is possible to control the fan speed with this program if your motherboard supports it. Just use the arrows beside the number 240. And you need to run this application as root to be able to control the fans.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
