This is a Plasma::Wallpaper plugin that allows you to use anothers program/script to control you current wallpaper.

Features:
  • Call another program/script to fetch new wallpaper location

  • Shedule how often to run the program/script

  • Pass arguments to the program/script

  • Allow to use fallback image

  • Allow to use fallback background color

  • Allow to use fallback resize mode

  • Motivation:
This plugin is based on Scripted Image by Shafqat Bhuiyan (http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=115147).
I have mostly rewriten it to fix some bug, add a few new features and get it working again.
I personally use this to plugin to display a syncronized random wallpaper to both of my displays.

    New Features from Scripted Image:
  • Added configurable background color

  • Scripts can now in addition to a image path also pass a prefered Resize Mode and Background Color along. (* see README)

  • Allow to use relative as well as absolute image paths from program/script

  • Allow to use UNICODE output for program/script

  • Installation and usage:
    See README.

    [Original Description]
This is a Plasma Wallpaper plugin that lets you use scripts to control the wallpaper.

You can start using it by downloading the sample scripts (http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=117118)

Writing your own scripts is very easy. Your script only has to print the path to an image. Then that image will be used as the wallpaper. Check out the README for more info.

You can set a time to re-run the script in.

Please read the README for instructions on how to install.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
     Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
