 Enhancements

It is a neat tool:

However, I realy miss two features:

* to assign symbols for the folder/categories
(somehow as it is possible in tuxcards to assign a user-defined icons to each folder)

* a proper xml export
(which enables one to to xslt and sovles the problem of interaction with mindmaps tools, i.e. freemind)

best, glove

 Problem running it

This program looks like it will be great but after compiling and installing I get it to come up but then it immediately gives me this error:

Cannot open resource file knowitui.rc. Some of the menus and toolbars will be missing.Probably Knowit was not installed properly. If you installed from source, please invoke make install. If you use precompiled package, please contact packager.

So I tried again but still no go. What did I screw up. Thanks in advnace.

The file it claims is missing is in the /usr/local/kde/share/apps/knowit directory. So not sure what to do.

It looks like program hasn't been installed successfully. Invoke

make install

after compilation.
Or, if you cannot install it, copy knowituirc to $HOME/.kde/apps/knowit

That worked great! I did not get any errors during the make install, should I have?

Great program, this is exactly what I was looking for.

Hey, what's about this project? knowit is the best programm I know to simply save Ideas, Concepts or any other things in one place. Good to manage entries, add links or attachments etc...
But finally I miss some features like quicknotes, encryption, xml, attachments (not only links to local files), maybe an integration in other applications and so on...
Is this project still in development?

Regards

It is not that bad. Some progress was made, a lot more is planned. You can grab current CVS at http://knowit.sf.net

All depends on my free time and as I have some other Open Sources projects, it slows down things.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
