Description:

This runner translates any text using google translate. You can specify a source and a target language or just specigy the target language and use autodetect. For more information read the help dialog, README or have a look at the provided screenshots.

A list of all supported languages you can find here:
https://developers.google.com/translate/v2/using_rest?hl=de#language-params

Example: de house

this will translate "house" into german (de)

Example: fr-en maison

this will translate the french word "maison" into english

Simple, isn't it? :-)

Thanks for your feedback and kudos!

 plasma5 version - problem

by edouardduliege on: Aug 21 2015

Score 50%

Hi,

Many thanks for the port!

On my Fedora 22, I installed the following packages:
install qt5-qtbase-devel
install extra-cmake-modules.noarch
kf5-ki18n-devel.x86_64
kf5-plasma-devel.x86_64
kf5-krunner-devel.x86_64

then compiled and installed successfully. I had to use the trick you provide in the INSTALL file to move the .so file in the correct location.

However krunner-translator doesn"t seem to work. Nothing happens when I hit alt F2 then type "fr-en maison".

Please let me know if I can provide any other information to help you solve this ;)

Best,
Edouard

Please check if the runner is enabled. There should be an entry "Translator" in the krunner settings.

If so, please start krunner from the console and copeſpaste the console output.

 PKGBUILD

Thanks a lot for the new PKGBUILD.

Compiling went fine but anyhow installation aborted due to existing /lib64. This is a least what pacman says when I try to install via pacman -U

Any tips how to solve that?

txh

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
