Description:

Please visit http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php/ljKlient?content=67345 for the new series of this software.

ljKlient is a KDE LiveJournal client. It currently offers most journal-entry-creating options accepted by LJ (such as backdating, choosing another usericon, adding tags etc.).

It is written in Python, using PyKDE3. As far as I know, it requires Python 2.4 and PyKDE 3.1x.

Don’t be afraid of using the comment area here, posting to the http://ljklient.livejournal.com/ LiveJournal Community ljKlient, or otherwise contacting me if there’s something up.

Changelog:

Version 0.1.172 (2007-08-06)
+ German translation by Schneelocke;
* Hungarian, Swedish and Russian translations updated
* Hungarian is deemed nplurals=1, plural=0 by KDE3, whereas GNU (correctly) thinks it is nplurals=2, plural=n!=1 at least in some cases.
* Spellchecking is now enabled by default
+ Added support for the system menu, .desktop file places the app to menu:/Internet
* Friendlist update dialog now uses a KTextBrowser, can click on user links, profile icons, just like in LiveJournal.
* A minor change to the icons (shifted them one pixel down)
* Some changes to the translatable strings in friendlist

Version 0.1.157 (2007-07-31)
* more fixes and modifications to the friendlist update dialog

Version 0.1.151 (2007-06-18)
+ Friendlist changes stuff are being implemented.

Version 0.1.149 (2007-06-10)

 KBlog

by whilo on: Aug 1 2007

Hi,

you seem to know LiveJournal quite well. We are currently implementing KBlog in trunk/kdepimlibs for the KDE 4 release cycle. LiveJournal support is only structure wise done at the moment. We do C++ though.
If you like to join in on Freenode IRC at #kblogger.
We could need some help in LiveJournal stuff.

I would really like to see you there,
whilo

Opensource is not a matter of price.
It is a different experience of information technologies.

Ah, the kicker applet — sure, could do. Haven’t touched C++ in a good while, but I could try making a livejournal flat protocol class if needed, maybe in Qt even, as raw C++ is a pain in the bum. I need to sanitise my protocol a little anyway :)
