Description:

This is a cross platform syntax highlighter library written C++/Qt based on the syntax highliter definitions from the GtkSourceView project: http://gtksourceview.sourceforge.net/

The library comes with 3 demos, which show how to use it for displaying text in different highlight modes and colors. There is also some basic documentation in the source tarball.

Windows XP, Windows 7, Linux (32 and 64 bit). Also tested under emulation for symbian. Basically if Qt compiles to your target - you can use it.

Changelog:

QtSourceView - 30 Jul 2011 - 0.0.3

* Highlight engine: Support for non case-sensitve languages
* new demos: a text editor control (demo4, demo5)
* Qate: a new highlighter based on the highlighter from QtCreator? (uses qate language definitions)
* About bloody time

QtSourceView - 18 Aug 06 - 0.0.2
* Second release
* Added 3 new language definitions from GtkSourceView: scheme, octave, changelog
* Added 1 new original language: Qt project file
* Several bug fixes
* All examples are made with the designer now
* Minimal doxygen documentation

QtSourceView - 22 Jul 06 - 0.0.1
* First release

 Very nice

Very nice library! Easy to use.
Thank you very much for it!

Syntax-highliter component is very important for many projects, cause the highlitning is a common task.
Just make it a bit faster, if possible.

Take a look at www.editplus.com
it's a color highlitning champion. We need speed for big files.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
 It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
 Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
 Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
 Gnome 3 default shell is much better
 I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
 None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
