Well, that would be definitely useful. However tuneroid is currently not optimized for any particular musical instrument. You know, there is no just single A in the whole range of scales. But I'll try to think about it.

 Guitar

Hi.. does this mean I can just plug my guitar in the microphone jack (via my amplifier) to tune it? (Guitar -> Amplifier -> Microphone-jack)? :)

Yes; but I would suggest to connect your guitar into mic jack without amplifier. Microphone input is sensitive enough. And then don't forget to set microphone input as your "capture" channel in kmix.

Hi. I've bought a cable from my guitar to my microphone input now. But when I launch tuneroid I get the error: "ALSA error: Cannot open audio device". What could be wrong? I'm using the alsa driver, and kmix and other KDE applications (amaroK) has no problems using it..

Hi again. I've found a thing that might be the problem. Tuneroid detects my soundcard as: Intel 82801DB-ICH4 Modem. I'm using a laptop with a built-in soundcard with two jacks: 1xoutput and 1xmicrophone btw, so it should work?

 JACK Support?

by kdeappsce on: Sep 8 2005

Hi,

cool app, but it seems it isn't JACK (http://jackit.sf.net) aware. Is support for JACK planned? Most musicians meanwhile use it as a low latency soundserver, and stopping it for tuning the guitar is a nono.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
