Bakaar

Version Control:  Link
Minimum required   KDE 4.x
Downloads:  656
Submitted:  Jun 16 2010
Updated:  Dec 29 2010

Description:

A really simple lightweight KDE media player - especially designed for full screen usage. Doesn't do a lot, but does what's there really well.

Prettiest OSD of all current KDE Media Players. Fact.

(if someone could run make package on a 32 bit machine I would appreciate you sending me the .deb)

Changelog:

Version 0.3
- An entire playlist manager
(by Remy Greinhofer)
- Added debian and rpm packages (64 bit only)

Version 0.2

- Gained a developer Remy Greinhofer
- Keyboard shortcuts
- Time remaining label
- Minor code tidy ups/fixes
- Now has a gitorious homepage

All work courtesy of our new developer.

Many thanks

Do you have any ideas on what you'd like to add to bakaar?

If so, go right ahead, I'll happily help with anything. My email address is in the code.

I have a problem with mplayer, i have a transparent window during the video. I have the same problem with kmplayer. In kmplayer if i choose a slower driver (auto by default) i think x11 it works, but i dont know how to do it with bakaar.

Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.36.2-desktop-2mnb #1 SMP Wed Dec 22 18:41:02 UTC 2010 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Card:NVIDIA GeForce 6100 to GeForce 360: nVidia Corporation|G98 [GeForce 8400 GS] [DISPLAY_VGA] (rev: a1)

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
