Description:

This is a graphical user interface of famous Alien which makes it possible to transform packages (See screenshot). You must be logged in root to be able to use it Screenshot: Current version , more "user friendly" with folder selector and "install" button and you are automatically logged as root with the launching of the program , it is enough to type your code (see second screenshot...)

ENJOY IT!

Thibault Baldetti

PS:Special thanks to Eric Laffoon for some modifications...

And there it is right above us...one of the reasons people try Linux and then find they cannot get help. Sure, they could spend the next hour googling and hacking around...It would have been terribly easy for the author to just post a how-to with his work, but for whatever reason just left it as is for the Kool Kids to use.

Never mind...I already know the response. "if they can't figure it out, they can go back to Windows".

Words from the mouth of true elitist snobs. Check your email. I have written debs and rpms for this...will post here after full testing.

OR...

Leave it to me to think the worst first...it may be the author is Ill, has lost his internet connection or something precluding him from not posting it...Either way, that was a crappy way to say what I said...

I will post the debs and rpms to help the original author out...it really is a nice piece of work.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
