Description:

kAnyRemote package is KDE GUI frontend for anyRemote (http://anyremote.sourceforge.net/) written on PyKDE/PyQt.

anyRemote is remote control software for applications using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

anyRemote supports wide range of modern cell phones line Nokia, SonyEricsson,
HTC and others.

Hello, I found few problems with kanyremote app.
1. When I try to set it to start automatically with KDE session it uses hardcoded(?) .kde directory, but on archlinux KDE settings live in .kde4 directory.

2. I can't find any settings to set proxy for kanyremote, and I can't download java client with kanyremote.

Thank for a good app. I'm waiting for answer. :)

newly created file is older than distributed files!

Running time * in the source dir fixes the issue.

From cli kanyremote says to install PyQt4; it is installed here;

/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/PyQt4

and the qt plugin is here;

/usr/lib/qt4/plugins/designer/libpythonplugin.so

and the executables are here;

/usr/bin/pylupdate4
/usr/bin/pyrcc4
/usr/bin/pyuic4

I have installed the android-app on my phone and version 5.12 on my Fedora-16-system. I can connect to kanyremote over BT without problems but it is not possible over WIFI. If i try "anyremote -s socket:5000" it is possible to connect over WIFI but then I don't have the kanyremote gui... Do i have to enter special data in the preferences of kanywhere? Maybe the Use-connect-string in the server-mode section?
BTW: My firewall was disabled during my tests so I am quite sure it's a configuration related problem in kanywhere.

2. In kanyremote prefernces dialog choose
"Use TCP/IP connection" and specify port 5000
