Description:

This is a patched version of KLetterWizard (http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=13442). Since the original author did not answer my emails and I like this app a lot a decided to simply post my fixes here as a new version.

Have fun.

Changelog:

0.9.8
* Unicode support (including for example german umlauts)
* Fixed preview and Tex/PS saving

 Not in good practice

It might be considered rude by some releasing a new version of someone elses application. What you did is a fork and should be named something else, perhaps KLetterWizard-ng or something (I suck at names).

Well, maybe you are right. But I though of this more like a bugfix release than a real fork. I do not intend to maintain this one. I just wanted to share my fixes with the world because without KLetterWizard is useless to most.

I hope the original author is not offended by this since I do not try to make his app mine.

 Good To Share

I think its a good thing that you've shared.

I've emailed author's before and have either met with a great deal of help (qdvdauthor, kardsGT, acetoneISO, KIM, solseek and more - thank you all), or with no help at all (some times worse).

In light of the latter, sharing a fix could be a life saver for some.

I doubt any true author would see a "fan-fix" (hey I coined a new word!) as an insult but rather as a compliment.

Thank you for releasing this version.
Thats what free Software is all about, isn't it ?

I just don't have any time to do stuff on kletterwizard an I am not even using it myself at the moment.

I downloaded the tarball and seeing a kdevelop project file in, opened it in KDevelop 3.4 to build.

The build failed with this trace:

*** YOU'RE USING autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.60.
*** KDE requires autoconf 2.53 or newer
gmake[1]: *** [cvs] Error 1
gmake: *** [all] Error 2
*** Exited with status: 2 ***

./configure, make, make install, works great in a terminal.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
