Templates - Where and How?

Application: KoverArtist - Jul 16 2009
answered
Question:I would like to make and add template. The range of covers available has increased.

What directory and filename are the templates kept-in?

What is the template format and basic hints for creating templates?

How do I send them to you for incorporating in KoverArtist?

Answer:Browse the dir

Look forthe templates you see in
right click
preferences on the desktop.

Find those templated in the tree in FTP - that is what I do..

Learn the structure of the templates and then set up a deve box to try hank em up and build a new one...

Ok lazy answer but you really need to explore the tree to see

Here's what I did. The archive contained images, fonts and a file with a .gz file type. These I copied into a directory (in Windows) in the program installation directory and then in /share/templates/newtemplatefolder/

Then, I used File>open to open that .gz file, and then did "save as template" to put it in the "new from template" menu.

Note: I forgot to install the fonts before I did all this, so I suppose if it mattered a lot, I'd have to do that. In my case, I just substituted a font I already had installed.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
