@reboot command in LuckyBackup not working

Application: luckyBackup - Sep 29 2011
Question:I am using LuckyBackup 0.41 in Mepis 11. Backups work just fine done manually. Scheduling a backup with the @reboot command doesn't work at all. Doesn't even generate and error message, so I am guessing that for some reason cron is not attempting to run the job. Doesn't make a difference if I use LuckyBackup as superuser. I am backing up my home partition (separate from root partition) onto a second internal hard drive. Why is this not working, and how can I fix?

Answer:Hi Lee

There's a couple of things you can try:

1. Adjust the "delay minutes" to give your graphical environment enough time to settle.
(this option is available after version 0.4.5)
2. Use "console mode".
This mode does not need the graphical environment at all.

Let me know if one of these fixed your issue

 LuckyBackup won't run @reboot backup

Version 4.1-3 is the latest version in the Mepis 11 repository. Attempting to upgrade from the downloaded Debian 6 package errors out with a broken pipe.

Version 4.1-3 does not have an option for a delay, and it automatically selects the console mode when @reboot option is checked.

So console mode isn't the solution, at least not a stand-alone solution. Is there another way to set up a delay in the cronjob?

Problem solved! The real problem was that the target hard drive, sdb1, was not mounted at the time that luckybackup was trying to run. Manually editing fstab, removing the dynamic entry for sdb1 and replacing it with a static entry
"/dev/sdb1 /mnt/sdb1 ext3 defaults,noatime 0 0" above the dynamic entry line did the trick.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
