 connection pb

by LaFleche on: Jan 25 2004

I know this is not the appropriate forum but i can't find any documentation about this application.
I start running mlnet->OK
then i start kmldonkey, but kmld show the "connection refused" message box. A'm stuck at this point. No man page, no --help, the website is empty. I'm pretty sure its a stupid error but a cant figure it out.

Its a shame cause it really seems like a nice front-end.

thx for any help.

Did you configure KMLDonkey in the KDE Control Centre?

 Suggestions

Nice program, but I have some suggestions:

1.It would be nice to have the option to launch mldonkey if there's no one running, as edonkey_gui does with edonkey2000 or overnet cores.
2. When adding a directory to share, add abutton to the current dialog to open a KDialog to browse to the desired directory.
3. In the search results, add another columns with the 'Artist' name, and bitrate (see above).
4. In the search options, specify 'at least' for the bitrate so the results are not only of the specified quality but that or grater.
5. A way to configure the player to preview the files, the mldonkey_previewer script just sucks.

Well, that's all I can come up with right now.

Keep up the good work.

Installed it now. Both, the ebuild and the app work fine and look great.

You improved the app a lot since KMLDonkey 0.9 :).

I'm looking forward to the next versions... :)

 won't build on RedHa

by jcphil on: Mar 11 2004

My build fails with this error:

grep: /usr/local/lib/libart_lgpl_2.la: No such file or directory
/bin/sed: can't read /usr/local/lib/libart_lgpl_2.la: No such file or directory
libtool: link: `/usr/local/lib/libart_lgpl_2.la' is not a valid libtool archive
make: *** [libkmldonkey/libkmldonkey.la] Error 1

I have libart_lgpl installed, along with the devel package. RedHat rpm's don't seem to include these *.la files. Any way I can finish my compile?

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
