How come no yahoo messenger support? Quite a lot of people use it and without it, forget about replacing kopete.

thanks,
Osho

Yes, it has a yahoo plugin, but it's almost non-usable for me. I complained to the list, but I had no feedback .

 Proxy information

Hi,

A feature request :).

I wish that you would take information about proxy directly from KDE's proxy settings if KDE's support was compiled in.

thanks
Osho

Yeah! that's right!!!

AFAIK kopete's ICQ part was taken from SIM some time ago.

well -- sim now supports multi-protocolness as well -- but it has better support for non-latin languages (especaly russian)

 I can't believe it

AWESOME!

It's a minor point that it doesn't support buddy images or other MSN features. I was trying many other (I think all of them) IM proggies out there, and couldn't find anything suitable for my needs (or what I was used to).

I was even thinking seriously abut reinstaling miranda-im under wine. But SIM really get's close to miranda in the customization and usability options (it even seems a 1 by 1 feature port).

Even before buddy images (are they any useful?), the video streaming for webcams, could be a way to go, but...

I've seen that for the history you can "skin" the format of the content using XML (ala Kopete chatwindow), but couldn't find that option for the real chatwindow (would be lovely, and perhaps it's my fault, because I think I'm still at 50% of options tried -excuse my bad English wording, haha-).

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
