Hi,

Th latest Daisy seems to randomly return to the default size. I usually make it a bit smaller but I have found it reverting to what looks like the bigger default size settings.

Fedora 10 standard rpms - up-to-date
KDE 4.2.4
qt-4.5.1

Thanks,

Unlock Widgets
Resize Daisy small
Lock Widgets
Open Konqueror
Close Konqueror
Click on Desktop
Daisy resizes bigger??????

Sorry about that.
This bug came after implementing a workaround for an issue with KDE 4.3, widget wasn't resizing correctly.
This bug is now fixed in current version, please re-download. Sorry for the inconvenient.
Thank you for the report, regards.

No need to uninstall.
If you are installing from source, just compile it again. See the INSTALL file for details.
If you got it installed from a binary package just download the new package version and installed it like any other package.
Regards.

Tried to reproduce, but I'm not experiencing that behavior. What are you using as the launcher values?

Try and change the name entry to something else and the alias entry to "Navigator".
Will look into finding the possible causes of this issue and fixing it.

 Daisy as Background

 by tiantian on: Jun 30 2009

Okay, so I admit that I'm using KDE for the first time. I accidentally set Daisy as my background and now my entire desktop is taken up by Daisy and I can't change it back... what do I do?

Just edit your plasma-applets config file and remove the Daisy entry:

- open a terminal;
- type: "kquitapp plasma";
- type: "kwrite ~/.kde/share/config/plasma-appletsrc";
- search for: "plasma_applet_daisy";
- delete that configuration section;
- save the file and close kwrite;
- type: "plasma";

Normal desktop should now be used as background.

Sorry about this, will remove that behavior in the applet.
Thank you for the report, regards.

Thank you for this cool plasmoid. I like it.
Anyway, I want to put a shell script launcher with a command sh, but failed. Is it possible for sh command in Daisy?

Thanks again

It is possible. In the command entry of the launcher just add something like:
"konsole -e /path/to/my/cool/sh/script.sh"
without the quotes.
May add an option to "run from console".
Regards.

Hi, thanks for prompt response.
I've tried to run from konsole with an input command as you suggested: "konsole -e ~/Documents/Applications/salafidb/run.sh"

But script wont start in konsole because java needs it run in local directory and a command such sh run.sh. Konsole gave:
"Warning: Could not start program '~/Documents/Applications/salafidb/run.sh' with arguments '~/Documents/Applications/salafidb/run.sh'."

But, after googled, and inspired from a forum, i made a simple script to launch konsole and the sh command in the local directory:

#!/bin/sh
cd ~/Documents/Applications/salafidb
sh run.sh

Put the script to a recommended directory such as in /usr/local/bin. And made it executable: "chmod a+x script.sh"

Then put a command in Daisy launcher:
"sh script.sh"
And with alias, as written in class of Window-specific settings.

It works! and without opening a konsole.
Hope may also useful for others.
Thanks.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
 It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
 Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
 Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
 Gnome 3 default shell is much better
 I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
 None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
