 Intellihide

It's an excellent dock, but, like other kde panels, it don't have a great intellihide function (hide dock when a windows is maximized)

Currently that's one of the features that Daisy is lacking. It is limited due to being a simple widget. After the re-write it will be possible to add that and other options.

 Re-arrange launchers?

by SlantNGo on: Jan 20 2011

Is there an easy way to re-arrange my launchers? I have "Allow drag and drop of objects" checked but when I try to drag a launcher to re-arrange it, it just opens the application as if I did a normal click. Currently the only way I see to re-arrange launchers is to edit each individual launcher.

The only way I'm aware of is to edit ~/.kde4/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc. Inside this file are the launchers specifications. Just cut and paste the lines to rearrange.

I was coding this option when something in the IconWidget from Plasma got changed. Now instead of the clicked signal, Daisy is forced to use the pressed signal, which makes it impossible to add the option of rearranging icons.

 Reflections...

I like this as a dock, but I won't use it until the reflections get fixed. They reflect past the edge of the dock on a non-existent surface and it just looks silly.

Didn't notice it, as I keep Daisy at the bottom of my screen most of the time. Will look into this, seems to be an easy fix.

That would be fantastic. Any progress on this? Sorry, I don't check my KDE-Look account often... Is the source available? If it's a C-derivative I could look at it and mess around with it...

Hi Mte90

Will look into your suggestions, but the key combination for media control is probably not doable.

I guess the project is closed.
Good work, but I prefer more action on mouse-over (see panel "fancy tasks" http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=99737).

Hello guys

Daisy is not a dead project.
Development continues, it's just that lately I've been too busy with work and a course that I'm taking. Hope to finish the re-write of Daisy this Summer when I'll have some days to spend coding for this project.

As always please feel free to comment, make requests, report bugs.

Thanks to all of you for your patience and support!

Great news!
KDE really needs a better task manager/dock, and this looks IMO the most promising.
Daisy on it's own was great but missed some panel functions, putting daisy on a panel makes it perfect.
Keep up the good work ;)

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
