Version Control:  Link
Minimum required   KDE 4.x
Downloads:  2244
Submitted:  Jul 1 2009
Updated:  Oct 20 2013

Description:

This is a plasmoid to show the events and todos from Akonadi resources (KOrganizer, Birthdays etc.).
With a google resource also Google calendar items can be shown.
Also possible with a CalDAV resource.
A facebook resource is also available.

Incidences can be filtered, added, edited, deleted via context menu.

Needs KDE 4.6 to compile and
you need a working Akonadi.
I suggest using 4.7 and your done.

Thanks to the authors of todolist, public transport, rtm.

Some rpm for openSUSE can be found here:
Now in KDE:Unstable:Playground

http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/geflei/

Mageia:
http://www.mageia-gr.org/rpm/1/x86_64/
http://www.mageia-gr.org/rpm/1/i586/

Kubuntu:
https://launchpad.net/~mikevaughn/+archive/omnilinux

There is also an ebuild in gentoo-overlay or so.

Feel free to send translations, feature requests.

Development has moved:
https://projects.kde.org/projects/playground/pim/plasmoid-eventlist

Changelog:

0.6.97
- previous version was buggy in removing items - fixed (I hope)

0.6.96
- check for already existing items to avoid doubled entries

0.6.95
- add contact name to possible substitutions
- filter for collections instead of resources (reconfigure filter necessary)

0.6.90 (0.7 rc)
- use kincindenceeditor if available
- delete incidences via menu
- fix bug with wrong mouse pointer position (wrong incidence selected)

0.6 adds autogrouping and filtering

 doublet entries

by anderslund on: May 19 2011

I get double entries upon kde restart, using kde 4.6.3 and eventlist 0.4 on archlinux. If I remove the widget and recreate it, it is fine.

Can you please try current git (now on projects.kde.org!) if it fixes that?

 Localization

by Naraku on: May 23 2011

Score 50%

I customized the behaviour how the startdate is displayed. I used the "ddd"-option. This works, but the string (Mon, Tue, Wed) was not localized as expected (Mo, Di, Mi).So, always the englisch version was shown, not the german one.

localization is done via qt and the environment here, can not be influenced by the plasmoid.
You have set german in systemsettings?
Works for me here with ddd dd.
(geht auch in Deutsch)

Gruß, Gerd

The whole system is german. When I configure the clock plasmoid (Digitale Uhr) to show the day of the week it shows "Di" today (localized).

Eventvist: When I select one of thepredefined options (short / long date) the week of the day is german, too. But with a user-defined format and ddd or dddd it is english again.

KDE 4,6,3
Qt 4,7,2

the custom format uses a qtdate method that takes the local from the system environment.
Is $LANG set on your system?

Try e.g. on konsole
set|grep LANG

For me here it shows LANG=de_DE.utf8.

 Some feature requests

by UnnamedHero on: Jul 19 2011

Is it possibe to add some good (I think) features?
1. Possibility to delete tasks from context menu
2. Separate current (in progress) tasks and passed tasks so I can assign different colors to them.
3. Show tooltip (when I move mouse over my tasks) under mouse cursor, not on right bottom corner of the screen.

1. this is possible
2. should be possible already? config->colors->colors for todos?
2. the tooltip is a plasma tooltip, after looking at the docs placing it should be possible, have to evaluate if this makes sense

2. Not for todos, but for events. I can only see two options for them - for near, and for started/passed events

I thought task = todo,
hmm, in korganizer you can assign categories to events and special colors for categories,
they would be used in the plasmoid also for not passed events,
it this sufficient for you or do you want a special background for passed tasks ( I like them more plain)?

Or is this still not what you mean?

Sorry for the delay.

I think it will be better to specify colors with eventlist.

31.12.2011
|_new year party
|_buy world domination kit
01.01.2012

 eventlist stopped working :(

by anderslund on: Aug 15 2011

Score 50%

The eventlist plasmoid stopped working when I updated to 4.95. No events displayed. If I install kdepim 4.7 it works, but that version of kdepim does not provide a working mail client :(

Is the previous version available somewhere?

 collection names

by anderslund on: Aug 31 2011

Score 50%

Eventlist shows a tooltip that amongst others display the collection name for an event. But instead of the friendly display name, it shows the internal name, like "akonadi_ical_resource_7". I think it would be very nice to see something friendly like "School Calendar" instead ;)

Good point, sometimes thought this too but forgot.
0.5 uses the name of the collection now.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
