Hmm, can't you install grub2? It's a dummy package actually which depends on grub-pc.

Perhaps I should update the dependencies. grub-common is the required dependency.

Anyway, I uploaded a new package with grub-common as a dependency, you should try it out (it's 64bit though).

Systemsettings categories have changed from KDE 4.5. Can work GRUB2 Bootloader Editor in older versions of KDE 4.5?

Editing /usr/share/kde4/services/kcm_grub2.desktop, I put the launcher in:
X-KDE-System-Settings-Parent-Category=advanced-user-settings

Anyway I get the next messange:

$ kcmshell4 kcm_grub2
false
kcmshell4: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/kde4/kcm_grub2.so: undefined symbol: _ZN9QListData11detach_growEPii

On Kubuntu 10.04, KDE 4.4.5
Thanks!

Hello.
Qt version is 4.6.3.
Compiling sources works. Anyway I have to edit the file as I mentioned before, that the entry appears in Systemsettings in KDE 4.4.x.
Another thing: Have you already has a Spanish translation of this application, or know people working on it?

Thank you.

This project looks quite similar to https://projects.kde.org/projects/playground/sysadmin/kcmgrub2, although one is written in C++ and the other in Python...

Indeed, they are both KCModules for GRUB2, but other than that they have nothing in common. Different author, different capabilities and so on..

You can try both (not at the same time because I think they conflict) and pick the one that best fits your needs.

Thanks for your reply. Also, I would like to ask whether you have considered using projects.kde.org infrastructure to host this project (it also uses git, so there shoudn't be much difference from the developer point of view)? I have now looked at kcmgrub2 and it has received much more translations (and a couple of fixes from other people) since the time it has migrated to projects.kde.org.

Yeah sure, thanks for suggesting. I actually didn't jump on projects.kde.org because the python grub2 kcmodule had just done so and I didn't want the author to consider I was copycating him. But we have talked and he seems to be cool with it, so I'll do it in a couple of days perhaps.

This is an (outdated?) package for 'Grub2 Kcm' (http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=137886). This Arch package is not related with this software.

It would be nice if in the AUR appeared this program.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
