Plasmoid Binary

Score 76%
Yet Another Window Control
zoom

Minimum required   KDE 4.x
Downloads:  1486
Submitted:  Mar 16 2011
Updated:  May 8 2012

Description:

I'm not quite satisfied with the "current app control" in plamsa-netbook, so I pull the code and add some more new small feature that I really want to it.

- Minimize Button
- Show/Hide window title, Show/Hide icon, every button.
- Drag from widget and move window
- Enable borderless maximized window.

So that's it.

install:
download tarball and extract.
mkdir build
cd build

1. install for global
cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=`kde4-config --prefix` ..
make
make install (with root, use kdesu, sudo, su, anything you like)
kbuildsycoca4 (for refresh the list)

2. install for current user
cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=`kde4-config --localprefix` ..
make
make install
kbuildsycoca4 (for refresh the list)

Changelog:

0.4:
Avaiable to rearrange order of icon.
Better drag position handling.
Activity aware window number.
Present window show window on all desktop.
Remove window list for now.

NOTICE: KDE 4.8 is required.

0.3:
New feature:
Drag window from widget.
Change borderless maximized window setting.

If i choose this plasmoid to not display both icon and text there is an empty space for icon. Is it possible to rid it off, plz?

Hey. Man this is what I am calling a great job.
This is what I was looking for so long.
Great usability. this is much better than original version :D.
This is the answer to my post on kde.forum:

I am very glad off that You've done.

I had to ask:
can You implement rest off buttons like:
on top, below, menu list button.
and is there any chance to have the same button theme like in title bar- I mean textures. Or at least the oxygen theme.
And can You implement configurable layout of buttons-like in the title bar. That I could have for example buttons to close, minimalise, maxymalise on the left side of widget, and the buttons to set "up/below other windows" on the right side of the widget.

And I see the same problem like with the original plasmoid, there is a waste of the space on panel between window title and the buttons.

Thank you, but Please don't repost.

I got email notification when have comments but that doesn't mean I will reply (because maybe I'm thinking of some idea, and maybe I don't have time to read it carefully).

And yes I'm thinking of some idea about this, please be patient.

Oh, even better! Great! I would also like to have this buttons so I can mimic my window bar completely.

But the plasmoid is already very, very good.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
