Hello!
First of all: your job is really good!
I have problem - I couldn't open the origin files:( I got only the prompt that liborigin has encountered an error. I'm using FC4. What could be the reason?
Regards! Bogdan

Hi and thanks!

The reason is an error in the liborigin library. Please send any bug reports to Stefan Gerlach, it's developper:

 is this a bug?

Hi, Thanks for implemented this option, is very important for me.
There is a bug (I guess) in the option linear-logarithmic.
Instructions for reproduce a bug.
1- colX= 1,2,3,4 ; colY=12,15,18,25
2-click Plot line+symbol
3-Click Properties and show all axis. Then click apply and ok. The graph show in axis Y left (YL) and Y rigth (YR) numbers betwen 12 and 26 simetrically. That's Ok.
4- Now go to properties and scale-vertical and select logarithmic. Click apply an OK. Now the YR and YL are diferents. I guess that only refresh YL. This is a bug.
5- Now if you click in "rescale to show all", the YL is modificated but YR no. This is other bug
Zorry for my poor english

Hello,

The problem is that I've done some modifications to the Qwt 4.2.0 library and it's this modified version, which comes with the QtiPlot archive ("3rdparty" folder) that must be used and linked against. This is specified in the INSTALL instructions. The bugs you described do not occur when you compile QtiPlot following these instructions.

Did you compile QtiPlot yourself or you used a package made by someone else?

Regards,
Ion Vasilief

Hi,

You're right, the ticks are different and this is a bug, thanks, I'll try to fix it in the next release.

Concerning the axes corners, this is a known problem of Qwt, the only thing that you can do in order to avoid this is to draw the canvas frame also!

Ion

Hi and thank you for your bug reports!

It's a bug indeed and it seems to apear only when you don't enable the lables for the scale division.

I'll see if I can fix this for the next release.

Ion

Hi,

Are you sure you link against the modified version of Qwt? Please try to recompile it and copy the lib to the /usr/lib folder.

I've seen that there's indeed a bug linked to unsychronized ticks for the newly created plots, but this behaviour disapears when you change the scale type for the right/top axes (the scales are resynced then).

HTH,
Ion

Hi,

Not sure, but it looks like you're not linking against the modified version of Qwt which comes with the QtiPlot archive (in the "3rdparty/qwt" folder).
If you allready have Qwt installed on your machine you shoud override it with the version provided by QtiPlot.

Regards,
Ion

Hi,
Just follow the instructions provided in the INSTALL notes for Linux at the following address:

http://soft.proindependent.com/install.html

Running "make install" as root should overwrite your pre-existant Qwt instalation!

Regrads,
Ion Vasilief

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
