 QT4

Hi,
first of all thanks a lot for this great piece of software!

While compiling qtiplot on my system (Gentoo-Linux) i observed a problem while compiling application.cpp against qt-4.1.4. After downgrading to qt-3.3.6 it seems to compile fine.
So my question: Is qt-4 not supported by qtiplot?

thanks

Hi,

 non-linear curve fit

Hi,

When I use the non-linear curve fitting dialog with a user defined function, qtiplot crash if I use only one parameter with the following msg:"You must provide a list containing at least 2 parameters for this type of fit. Operation aborted". I didn't get this message with qtiplot 0.8.6.
I've compiled qtiplot on fedora 4 i386.

Thanks,

fabrice

Hi again,

Until the next release of QtiPlot, you can get the developement version including the fix for this bug from the SVN repository at berliOS.de (https://developer.berlios.de/projects/qtiplot/). Check out the branch called "scripting" at revision 195.

On the QtiPlot project page at berliOS, there's also a bug-tracking system, please report there any other bugs you may find. It helps us in our work.

Best regards,
Ion

 spline function

by hlwoodcock on: Sep 19 2006

Hi,

I think there may be a bug in the spline code in the 0.8.7 branch.

When I create a lines-points plot and try to switch the lines to a spline fit the lines completely disappear and no spline appears. This was working in the 0.8.6 version and appears to have stopped working with the release of 0.8.7-2/0.8.7-3.

If you could point me in the right direction I could try to fix this, but maybe it would be easier for you since you obviously know the code better than anyone.

Thanks or the great program and please keep up the good work!!!

Hello,

This problem, due to a reorganization of the code in the Qwt5 library is already fixed. You cand check-out the sources from the SVN repository at berlOS.de: https://developer.berlios.de/projects/qtiplot/

You must check-out the branch called "scripting" at revision 201.

Best regards,
Ion Vasilief

I've worked a week with a qti-file without problems (45 tables and graphs). Today, the program crashes when I want to activate a minimized table or graph. So, no difficult things, just activate a minimized window.
Can anyone please help/hint me?

Version: qtiplot 0.8.5
Error in Konsole: QGArray::at: Absolute index 0 out of range
Distribution: OpenSUSE 10.1

Also, you should upgrade to QtiPlot 0.8.8, which solves a lot of the bugs in version 0.8.5.

 installation error

by drek on: Oct 11 2006

Score 50%

I've installed qtiplot-0.8.8.i386.rpm on OpenSuse 64bit. Starting QtiPlot gives the following error:
qtiplot: error while loading shared libraries: libgsl.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
A 64bit version of gsl is installed. Do I also have to install the 32bit version of gsl for QtiPlot to be working? Or is there another solution?
Thanks in advance!

Hello,

The .rpm package I provide is built on a 32bits system, so you need to link against a 32bits version of GSL.

Hi.
I compiled qtiplot-0.8.8 on win2k when I export layer or window graph 2D in any format (I trayed jpg and bmp but also I trayed cut and paste on Msword for example)
Then, all text on the expoted picture are bad. They see imcomplete. Why?
This graph is good on qtiplot.
I trayed to change the font but it was not a solution :(
I used qtiplot on fc5 64b and export function run ok.

Hi,

I don't have a win2K system installed, I use Windows XP and on this I couldn't reproduce the bug you described.

It seems to be a Qt related problem, so I'm afraid I can't do much about it...

Regards,
Ion

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
