Kuroo does not aim to subsitute the power of the command-line EMERGE, but is thought as a little helper for your daily life. We will continue to enable more powerfull features in the forthcoming versions. If you like to ask for a certain functionallity feel invited to do so on: kuroo.org, #kuroo or info@kuroo.org.

Feature highlight:
Unified package view: fast package browsing and searching with filters.

 nothing fancy...

There would be an item in the menu that portrayed the meaning 'Connect to remote machine.'
After connecting to the remote machine, it does everything kuroo would normally do.

 tcsh update

by mattepiu on: Oct 18 2005

Score 50%

just a note:
updating to tcsh-6.14-r1 was blocking when
the emerge comes to
#chmod 444 ... ....
I emerged without Kuroo (command line)
anything else is fine...

(is maybe cause Kuroo itself is using tcsh
or sandbox prevents kuroo from doin chmod
444 ??)

Just tried out new 0.70.1-beta1 :
I like way to manage package.use
(directly in portage->use flags view,
but still no flag set is parsed in the
ebuild tab and no flags description is
fetched from ufed.....I can hope for the future that this will be possible...)

 parsing use flags

by mattepiu on: Nov 3 2005

Score 50%

Just to help: use flags description are
in /usr/portage/profiles/use.desc
and may be overlayed
(usually /usr/local/portage/profiles/use.desc)
I'm writing an hugly bash script to parse
them...... (in ebuild and then descriptions)

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
