Description:

KLibido is a graphical Usenet file grabber for KDE. It supports multiple server, multiple download threads per server, queue management, .nzb files, etc...

Changelog:

* 27/Feb/2006: version 0.2.5 Release notes:

- New option: do not automatically resize columns in headerlist (and remember columns' sizes)
- New option: Do not automatically sort by subject (and remember the selected sort column)
- New option: remember order of columns in headerlists
- NEW: Show progress for decoding
- FIX: Don't crash while canceling articles during decoding (and really cancel the article)
- FIX: Cancel of update items while updating dbs now works
- new action: move to bottom of the queue
- FIX: correctly remember "maximized" status for main Window.
- NEW: Sort by number of articles in available groups list (i.e.: when subscribing to newsgroups)
- New shortcuts in headerLists: clear filter (Ctrl + C) and jump to the filter entry box (Ctrl + F)
- New option: don't show statusbar at startup
- NEW: French translation
- NEW: Progress dialog for db migrations
- FIX: Header dates now works for localized distributions as well
- NEW: During db migration/compact, articles are checked for consistency and discarded (KLibido should not crash anymore if there are bogus articles into dbs). A log of the discarded articles is created in the db dir (default: ~/klibido/db)
- Various bugfixes (see Changelog)

Sweet program dude, thanks alot :)

Are you also planning .nzb support and may be some integration with par/par2, sfv etc?

Yes, nzb support is planned. Par2/sfv is more problematic, I will add it only if it's not too painful :)

There appears to be no such function in uudeview.h.
closest thing to it is just UULoadFile.

     Dies on me...

I am looking forward to trying this program out.

When I start the program I get the initial screen where you are to enter the paths.

If I click "OK", the the program dies on me with the following error.

    *** glibc detected *** corrupted double-linked list: 0x08679770 ***
    Alarm clock

I've done some searching and haven't found a solution yet - if anyone knows of a fix, please post it. I'll keep trying and post any fixes that I come up with.

Please send me an e-mail with the distribution you're using, the version of the software (KDE, Berkeley Db) and the console messages you're getting.

I finally got it figured out!

I had tried to install the latest BerkeleyDB, and had messed some of the installation up.

Last night I removed the latest version (4.3?), and reinstalled the RPM of the latest Fedora package.

To get the program to compile, I had to make a symlink to the libdb_cxx library because it didn't seem to be linked correctly.

Once I recompiled KLibido and tried to run it again, the problem was gone!

The problem seems to have been with the very latest BerkeleyDB and the link I had set up to the libdb_cxx.

I'm currently using Fedora Core 3.

Very cool program! Thanks for writing it! I am hoping to get to play with it more tonight.

    Thaks again,
    Brent

You have to install the -devel part of UUlib/uudeview. What distro are you using?

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
     Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
