Description:

QComicBook is a viewer for PDF files and comic book archives containing jpeg/png images, which aims at convenience and simplicity. Features include:

* automatic handling of archives
* full-screen mode
* two-pages mode
* continuous scrolling mode
* frame view mode (frame-by-frame reading, comic frame detection)
* japanese mode
* thumbnails
* page scaling (fit to window width/height, whole page) and rotating
* mouse or keyboard navigation, whatever you prefer
* bookmarks

QComicBook requires Qt4 library, poppler library, zip, rar/unrar, tar, p7zip and unace programs to handle archives.

ATTENTION: I need translators! Please read README-translations and contact me if you'd like to translate QComicBook.

Changelog:

* removed thin border around scroll area widget.
* fixed compilation errors on some systems (such as Ubuntu) caused by conflict with Page.h from libpoppler.

I have the new package ready, but I have nowhere to upload it.

Does anyone know a good free web space provider?

The maintainer of Debian package created package for Ubuntu 5.04. You can find it here: http://qcomicbook.horisone.com/

 qcb icon/logo design

 by blurymind on: Aug 24 2005

Hi,my name is theodore Imre.I really love this app and wanna thank the creator.I heard that Yogin was looking for a splash screen/logo/icon and I made few designs(another attempt!).I hope they are good enough.I made their bg transparent,so both can be tried for icons.It will be a great honor for me if this app uses these designs anyway.I release them under gpl,so the creator or anybody else who wants is free to edit them to look better.
Oh,btw,that dependancy problem is past now...here are two of the versions I made.If you like those,I will give links for the rest of the versions.

the second is abit blurry and unfinished,but it looks good as an icon.

Thanks a lot for this most excellent application. I wouldn't mind some (optional) use of KDE components though.

I really like your program! It's a really good concept!

A feature that I'd like is an option to just display the front cover on the first page when using the two per page mode.

Perhaps you could accomplish this by including a "add blank page" page option as often translation groups also add an extra page with their details which butchers the order of the manga.

This can be really annoying as many Japanese mangas have art that goes over two pages and I don't like seeing it get chopped in half. :-)

Thanks!

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
 Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
 I do not like some of the changes.
 KDE is taking the wrong way.
 I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
 I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
