 Main_1.sh error

by davinissim on: Oct 5 2005

Score 50%

Hi. Installed latest Version (0.4.1) and something is Wrong with the ppmtoy4m syntax. This is the error that is shown on the log file:
**ERROR: [ppmtoy4m] Unknown subsampling mode option: 420_mpeg2
**ERROR: [ppmtoy4m] For usage hints, use option '-h'. Please take a hint.
in the Main_1.sh script this is the way it's written when it should written -S 420mpeg2 (without the underscore).
Does someone know how can I correct the Main_1.sh syntax before it starts running?
Thanks,

It's O.K. Went into the home page and saw the solution there (snapshot version that fixed this problem).

Thanks.

Hello and thanks for your work. I like that app, but i have problems to compile Version 0.5.
Maybe you have a clue.

 Install Error

by BorgQueen on: Jan 24 2006

kmediafactory builds fine but I can't install it. I get the following error:

make[4]: Entering directory `/home/Software/SoftwareTesting/SourceFiles/kmediafactory-0.5.0/ookmf'
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/unopkg add kmf_converter.zip

ERROR: Package has already been added: kmf_converter.zip

unopkg failed.

How do I fix this? What exactly is the problem?

"make install" calls the installation of kmf_converter.zip for installation in OpenOffice.org for the compiling user. When you run "make install" twice it will fail because it is already installed (like in your notice).

To remove it, do a:
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/unopkg remove kmf_converter.zip

There is (at the moment) also a Bug in the Makefile wich prevents kmf to install this systemwide

If you want this, run:

./configure --without-unopkg
make
make install
(and then as root)
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/unopkg add --shared $PATH_TO/kmf_converter.zip

(where $PATH is the path to installed file "kmf_converter.zip (eg. /usr/share/apps/kmediafactory/))

Don't know exactly. unopkg (from openoffice.org) fails if a script is already installed (in this case kmf_converter.zip). Reinstallation of kmediafactory (0.5) is also a little bit tricky this way (unless you use --without-unopkg).

To see, what scripts for ooo are installed for the current user, run: /usr/lib/openoffice/program/unopkg list

What does OpenOffice.org have to do with your app? I think I'm missing something here.
BTW, I'm not complaining, I just want to understand. This is how I learn.

It is not my app (look at the different names) ;)

The function converts openoffice-documents to a slideshow, so it is not necessary for main functionality and just a feature (haven't used it for myself).

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
