Description:

Kniga is easy-in-use software for e-books reading. It can open TXT, HTML and DOC files, has a bookmarks engine, encoding autodetection for European languages, autoscrolling, user-friendly tabbed interface and other features. But now it also has some bugs :).

IF YOU WANNA HELP ME (internationalization, documentation etc.), please write a letter to [vladsv at inbox dot ru]. Everyone invited :)

P.S. Sorry for my terrible English :)

Changelog:

2005-04-12 by Vlad Svetlichny

* CHANGED: splashscreen "About" ;)
* CHANGED: Statistics engine.
* CHANGED: Now you can change toolbar width.
* CHANGED: Installation's path changed to /opt/kniga
* FIXED: Some bugs :)
* ADDED: Nothing more.

That probably also says that your code isn't very good. I won't try this app.

 difference to ReadeR

Hello. How is Kniga different to ReaderR?
http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=18945
Maybe you could join forces with Anton Samokhvalov the author of ReaderR.

It's not like ReadeR. Kniga hasn't any database (yet), it will not open PDF, Djvu and CHM files. But it can open DOC, detect encoding of text, and has many other features.

 Nice app...

...I like it. But I was wondering if you should add an option to deactivate the annoying (at least, for me!) question "Are you sure to quit"?

Nice app
Just a question: Why the K prefix? It's not a KDE application :P

 Name?

You should probably change the name of this app. The name "Kniga" brings up thoughts of a racial slur and I'd bet that lots of people who download are Americans who are trying to rid America of racism.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
 It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
 Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
 Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
 Gnome 3 default shell is much better
 I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
 None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
