 crash

by toadhall on: Jan 21 2008

Score 50%

When I open a DVD in the k9copy dialogue it attempts to read the entire DVD rather than just its structure. This is followed by a crash when both RAM and swap are full...

This does not happen on any other computer I have worked with but don't know where the fault could lie?

Any ideas out there?

Thanks for adding --enable-k3bdevices, we don't use HAL for Ark. As soon as I run a full test I'll get back to you. I except I'll find it faster and much improved. As I always do. Keep up the great work.

Any plans to port this wonderful app?

It is the only reason I keep k3b libs installed at all.

Nevermind

to debian users: there are a lot of ffmeg packages. The one needed is libavformat-dev

I get
Building CXX object CMakeFiles/k9copy.dir/lib/vamps/tcmemcpy.osh'

/tmp/ccowv8dg.s:126: Error: suffix or operands invalid for `pop'
/tmp/ccowv8dg.s:148: Error: suffix or operands invalid for `push'

Based on some googling, this appears to be a common problem for 64 bit users.

That fixed it. I like the look.

I started a mpeg4 re-author and it seems to be working well.

Thanks!

 KDE 3 user

Does the release of 2.0.0 mean that I won't be able to use any new releases until I start using KDE 4? I use Debian, Slackware, and KDE 3 on both. Upgrading in Debian from experimental left me with dependency issues in synaptic so after two minutes of failure I decided to wait until KDE 4 was a bit more standard.

If that is the case, I will wait patiently. v1.2.3 works well for me as is. Thank you.

I've started working on k9copy in the year 2004. It's time for me to start something new. Of course, k9copy will continue to evolve, but slowly.
I made the kde4 port because I thought that the kde3 version of k9copy was running well. the port of k9copy to kde4 ensures that, in the future, k9copy will continue to work on kde.
But don't worry, any severe bug will be fixed in the kde3 version.

Hi!

Thanks for a nice application!
A minor thing - you should / could make the "backup progress" dialog modal.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
