 Won't work for me!

by ozzie on: Aug 7 2005

Score 50%

This is the app that is needed for linux, and should totally eradicate M$ for me. The only problem is that every disc I do I get the following error,

"An error occurred while running DVDAuthor: Error writing data
Vamps: Fatal: write to stdout: Success"

Im on Mandriva2005LE, kde 3.4 and DVDauthor version 0.6.11. I fear the later may be the problem.

Any help will be happily received.

well, i've been searching for this and i've found something:
it seems that dvd_udf.h is not copied to the destination directory when installing libdvdread, so i've downloaded it (i use rpm's with my suse, but i've copied this file from the .tar.gz)

after this i've changed the references to "dvd_udf.h" at kdvdbackup.cpp and kifo.cpp, but i continue receiving this error message:
/home/mamonetti/descargas/k9copy-1.0.0/src/kdvdbackup.cpp:361: undefined reference to `UDFFindFile'
kifo.o(.text+0x170f): In function `kIFO::saveIFO()':
/home/mamonetti/descargas/k9copy-1.0.0/src/kifo.cpp:106: undefined reference to `UDFFindFile'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

:/

I'm sorry but I didn't test it on FreeBSD. In the next version, I'll use the deviceManager from k3b which should work on FreeBSD.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
