Description:

KAlgebra is a MathML-based graph calculator. Besides it was initially mathml oriented now it can be used by everyone with little mathematic knowledge.

KAlgebra is on KDE-Edu for now, I am not posting any source code since it would be the same as you would find inside it, BTW if you still a KAlgebra-alone package tell me and I'll make it.

Changelog:

There are a big lot of changes.

Port to KDE/Qt4, New calculation engine, simplification, differentiation...

Maybe this instruction helps: make -f Makefile.cvs ./configure && make -j2 Make shure your QTDIR and PATH is set correctly.

 value of PI wrong

You app looks great.

Long ago I memorised PI up to
11 digits. Therefore I could
not help but notice the following:

the value of PI shown in the
screenshot is wrong.:-(

It should be:

3.14159 26535 89793 23846 26433 ...

Best

 configure error

by csawtell on: Nov 14 2005

Score 50%

running under Gentoo the ./configure terminates with this message:-
checking for KDE... configure: error:
in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix!

It would be very nice if this program could be added to the Gentoo Portage system.

Sure!
I already knew this problem, it is my fault (Makefile.am's libs have handcoded paths that doesn't work in gentoo). It is going to be rapaired for the next release (that I think that's coming soon).

Thanks,
Aleix Pol

Now it should be OK, I have no Gentoo machine to try it, if someone finds a problem tell me please and if someone makes the ebuild tell me too and I'll put here in kde-apps's page.

Thanks!

It doesn't appear to be working with the latest release as of 02/27/2006. I am receiving the same error when ./configure is attempted.

FIXED! :)
by issuing ./configure --prefix="path to KDE"

in the path to KDE be sure to go into the version directory. i.e. /usr/kde/3.4

That fixed it for me.

It should have been generated in the package, you should see it automatically (you need to have KDE set in french BTW).

Perhaps I forgot to add something in the Makefiles... as soon as I solve the problem (if its mine of course), I'll update it. I think that other translation work fine :S.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
