Update: first bugfix release for 4.3 is out

New stable release for ktorrent and libktorrent.

The biggest changes since the 4.2 release include:
- Reintroduction of a tabbed torrent list widget, though a bit different then the old tab widget from the 4.1 days.
- Improved support for magnet links
- Support for removable storage
- A whole bunch of bugfixes and smaller improvements over ktorrent 4.2

For a full overview of all changes, take a look in the ChangeLog files included with the source code.

If you have problems or feature requests you can go to bugs.kde.org, or just ask around on our forums http://ktorrent.org/forum

(4.3.1 stable version)
(2.2.8 for KDE3)
(libktorrent 1.3.1)

 scheduler in menu

by rados on: May 20 2006

last time I tried ktorrent, scheduler and problems with finishing downloads prevent me from using it.

It should be solved with new beta, I am giving it a try. Seem thats time to say azureus bye bye.

But what about after enabling scheduler, why is than this option shown in Menu > File ... on the last position? There should be EXIT, nothing else.

KTorrent is now even better! Love the new features (and the fact that it is already in Portage). Although when it is running my internet starts to die and pages and such time out. This was happening an hour before I upgraded though and I think this is a war between me and my ISP since I have sent about 1.5GB and received about 2.5-5GB everyday for the last couple days. Adelphia, give me bandwidth now!

Looks and works great, even the dht- and upnp-feature!
To return the favour I made a debian package for all non-ubuntu-users. Pick it up here:

Made (and tested only) on a Debian (Unstable) Box with KDE 3.5.2.

OMG, ktorrent is sweet, i think i'm gonna use it over Azureus because Azureus takes up way too much resources.

Please get rid of the flickering underscores on the Downloads/Uploads tabs though, those are kinda annoying. (the underscores below the numbers)

 Great app

I've used both KTorrent 1.2 and now the beta of 2.0. I've only got a few minor grips about both. Need documentation of the tabs and what they are for. For instance, in the 2.0 beta you have a Downloads and an Uploads tab. Why have both when a person can see that he's uploading from the upload speed? Unless it's for torrents that the user has created and is uploading. My only other grip is on the Peers tab. There are some totally useless fields included. Those fields being Choked, Snubbed, Score, and Upload Slot. All other fields relay great information.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
