hello, I am using azureus even if I am not happy much with that because of huge memory consumption...but that handles chinese chars properly when u download something using some chinese torrent site...

I tried to use Ktorrent which failed to do the job in case of chinese torrents...i think because of encoding...

could you plz look into this issue so that it can handle non-english chars as well?!!

thanks!

Try Firefox [http://www.mozilla.com/firefox] --- the right stuff!

Hmm.. I already downloaded some torrents with chinese characters in it (torrent file, downloaded file) and it worked well. Could be something else wrong with your system.

well, I also got the issue in the mean while...the problem is lying with my partition (FAT32) which is keep sucking me until now...have no other choice but to keep it because I am having dual boot and M$ can't read ext2 file-system. If I save the download in my linux partition, it handles Chinese chars well....but it doesn't if I choose my FAT partition as destination to save the download.

If you have any idea of how to get rid of it, please enlighten me. I am sick tired of it. I tried to mount the partition with some Chinese encoding in fstab but no luck yet :-(

For god sake, get rid of the fat32, as you said there is the problem. Also if you're having dual-boot, use ntfs, linux can write on it with ntfs-3g tools.

You could also use EXT2-IFS for Windows, which gives Windows the ability to read/write ext2/3 partitions.

I think, this is more safe than ntfs-3g.

I appreciate your quick and keen observation :) Thank you.

 Great Application

I believe it should really become a part of official KDE, ie kdenetwork.

Its a must-have for torrent files, and as we all know, torrent files can be of huge help to download Linux Distributions.
Most of them not only offer .iso files but also their .torrent files for that.

 2.2beta1 rocks :)

Thanks for this release, 2.1.4 was abusing cpu at 13%

with 2.2beta1 it is around 0.5 to 1.5 cpu usage. which is good.

whereas utorrent 1.6.1 (used with wine) only uses 0.5 cpu.

also crashes disappeared with 2.2beta1. thanks.

and the new interface is much better. though i still don't like the "sidebar" like "Groups" button.. is there any way to hide "Groups" on the left side?

thank you for ktorrent ;)

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
