Description:

For news about kdesvn see now http://kdesvn.alwins-world.de

kdesvn is a subversion client using the native subversion delevelopment API instead of just parsing the output of the commandline tool like most other clients do.

It tries to setup a look and feel like the standard filemanager of KDE and is integrated into it via KPart.

The base C++ interface to subversion I took from the (real great) tool Rapidsvn (see http://rapidsvn.tigris.org/) with some modifcations and fixes.

When interested in getting the source from scratch:

http://anongit.kde.org/kdesvn
(do a git clone http://anongit.kde.org/kdesvn)

Comments are welcome. You may use the bugtracker https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=kdesvn
for reporting bugs or request features missing.

 konqueror plugin?

by trapni on: Jul 18 2005

can you use it from within konqueror? so, that typing svn://host/bar will show you kdesvn within the window?

I think *this* will be a must for some devs/users (not at least me) to use this tool (,too)...

regards,
Christian Parpart.

it is planed, too.
first I want to get the basics working than I'll checkout how it will best plugged into the konqueror.

but as workaround for not every time typing in the URL to open you may use the (own) bookmarks kdesvn has.

Other side: Help is of course welcome (thats why a public accesible repository)

Very handy application. I have been using esvn for most of the time but this application is somewhat *more* in the spirit of subversion.

For example, I like working with the remote repositories. I like the KDE dialog boxes.I like the bookmarks.

Keep up!

 Very nice...

How about making the "Property Name" entry on the add property dialog a drop list of subersion properties (i.e. svn:eol-style, svn:keywords, etc), appended with recent custom properties. (you can still enter custom properties in the input field).

Maybe then, when a standard propery is selected, a subordinate drop-down is enabled and populated with standard values. i.e., svn:eol-style would offer "native, LF, CR-LF". Hmmm... for svn:keywords, it would have to offer a multi-select. Just some thoughts.

 Accellerators

Hi,

Great app, exactly what I was looking for. The commandline was getting more and more annoying.

I started to translate kdesvn to Dutch. But I saw some obscure strings with Alt+C, Alt+L. AFAIK, these are not required.

Example:

buttonHelp->setText( tr2i18n( "He&lp" ) );
buttonHelp->setAccel( QKeySequence( tr2i18n( "Alt+L" ) ) );

The & is enough to make the accellerator work, so the second statement is redundant. Could you please remove those setAccel lines?

hups.
Comes from qt-designer.
I'll check it in all dialogs and will remove it. Key may set by KDE itself.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
